Founded in 1981, there are currently 300 families living in Psagot. There are educational institutions and community services in the town, which also is home to the Binyamin Regional Council’s offices. At the foot of the town are the vineyards of Psagot Winery. A factory that manufactures playground equipment, Mitkanei Psagot, is also located in the town.

An ancient Jewish village with artifacts from various periods; caves used for winemaking from the second Temple period;

Hamitzpe Lookout and a view of Jerusalem.
